My very first triathlon photos were my kids at the Weetbix Tri around the Hutt Rec in Lower Hutt. A few years ago now. At least ten years later I'm fortunate to still have the opportunity to capture the many aspects of a triathlon thanks to guys like Bengy.

I first met Bengy when I was roaming around capturing a local cyclocross event. He was the timing guy. And now I get to work with him from time-to-time, with the JD that is essentially, take photos, do what you do.... Great brief, so what does that mean?

I start at the swimming, take photos, and ...

... make my way over to the mountain biking and running, and take photos.

With so much going on there's thousands of images, whittled down to 500 of the best for Bengy and the competitors.

This post is a about an even smaller set of images. My favourites, the ones that I like for the story they tell or they just catch my eye.

Of course this could be total bollocks. Let me know what you think either way.
